• Ranked among the top twelve candidates across Canada in General Surgery resident in-training examination of the CAGS for four successive years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007
• Selected as the Residents’ Representative in the Research Committee of the Canadian Association of General Surgeons, Sept 2004 - Aug 2005 .
• Participated by presentations in the University of Manitoba General Surgery resident research day for the years 2004, 2005 and 2006 .
• Participated in undergarduate teaching in General Surgery as a Demonstrator in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah 2000-2002 .
• Participated as an instructor in in the Faculty of Medicine orientation program for interns 2001 .
• Participated in the research work of the field health survey on “Health Risk Appraisal among King Abdulaziz University Employees”, 1996 .
• Presentations of a diversity of topics and clincal cases in General Surgery grand rounds and postgraduate seminars
